The following are the complete Rules & Procedures for the Matthews Auto Discover Club.
Eligibility for Prospectors
- In order to be a Matthews Discover Club Prospector, applicants must register through online enrollment.
- Prospectors do not need to be a current Matthews Auto customer.
- Once eligibility has been established, the role of the Prospector will be to refer friends and family members to Matthews Auto for their next new or pre-owned vehicle purchase.
Eligibility for Potential Referrals
- Potential referrals must not have made a vehicle purchase from Matthews Auto in the six years prior to their visit. Example: If visiting on 6-1-08 prior purchase would have to have been prior to 6-1-02.
- Potential referrals have the option of purchasing either a new or pre-owned vehicle.
Matthews Discover Club Rules
- Prospector will log into their Matthews Discover Club account and print referral form.
- Prospector will write in referrals name, sign and date form.
- Prospector will give the certificate to the referral to be presented at any one of the five Matthews Auto stores.
- Referral will present and surrender referral certificate to Sales Consultant upon arrival.
- Certificate must be presented on 1st visit. No exceptions.
- Certificates presented after the 1st visit will not be eligible for Discover Club payment or AutoAward points.
- Vehicle purchase by named referral is necessary to earn payment or AutoAward points.
Pay Plan
There will be three levels of recognition for Prospectors:
Scout - the first level achieved for referring 1-5 purchasers in a year
Guide - the second level achieved for referring 6-10 purchasers in a year
Ranger - the third level achieved for referring 11+ purchasers in a year

Commissions
Commissions will be paid to Prospectors on a monthly basis.
Commission levels and vehicle counts for Prospectors will be renewed every January 1st.
Commissions for Prospectors will not be retro-active as higher levels are achieved.
Tax Liability
Cash and checks of any amount should be claimed by the Prospector.
AutoAwards points if elected are not taxable.
Over $600.00 earned in a year require the Matthews Auto Group to send the Prospector a 1099 miscellaneous income form.
If the Prospector does not claim the income earned from the Matthews Discover Club the Matthews Auto Group is not liable for the tax and or penalty.
